Judge: Brady Must Serve ‘Deflategate’ Suspension

Bad news for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

According to the Associated Press, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decided today that Brady “must serve a four-game ‘Deflategate’ suspension imposed by the [National Football League.]” Monday’s ruling overturns a decision by a lower judge and sides “with the league in a battle with the players union,” states the AP story.

“Deflategate” refers to an NFL scandal in which the Patriots were accused of using underinflated footballs against the Indianapolis Colts during the American Football Conference Championship Game on January 8, 2015.
