What To Do in Boston This Weekend

Beers for Books at Harpoon Brewery

Join the Boston Chapter of Room to Read and Harpoon Brewery to help raise money for literacy and gender-equality in education in the developing world. Stop by before your regular Friday evening plans and enjoy a Harpoon beer tasting for a great cause. A $20 donation is suggested at the door. There will be a silent auction. 100 percent of the proceeds will go directly to Room to Read.

Room to Read seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in developing countries by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. Working in collaboration with local communities, partner organizations and governments, we develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children, and support girls to complete secondary school with the relevant life skills to succeed in school and beyond.
