In November, StarStart Bakery in Wenzhou, China launched a job training program for autistic adults. The free, multi-session program — inspired by Hu’s twin sons, both born with autism and now 20-years-old — teaches people with autism to make pastries and drinks in a working bakery chain. Owner Wenzhong Hu says people participating in the program gain greater “self-worth” and opportunities for work.

BU News Service and BUTV 10 reporter Bilin Lin spent time at StarStart Bakery to get the full story of how the program and StarStart Bakery came to be.
