BOSTON, March 7th, 2016: Boston Taxi drivers protest calling for “equal rules” to be enforced on private companies, particularly Uber. Taxi driver Tony Shaheen (non pictured) said that it takes a driver only a smart phone to become an Uber driver, while taxi drivers have to go through several procedures, including lisence tests and inspection every 6 months. He also said that a taxi diver pays between $6000-7000 for insurance, while Uber drivers pay only $1000. “We follow the city’s rules, what rules do they follow?,” he said. (Marwa Morgan/BUNS)
