Seven years ago in Professor Theodore Moustakas’s classroom in the College of Engineering at Boston University, PhD student Yitao Liao had an idea for a thesis that would change the way we drink water. The Quartz Water bottle is self-cleaning and allows consumers to drink water without worrying about getting sick from a dirty, smelly container. Jenna Perlman reports.
