Following a warm welcome at the White House, Pope Francis leads a midday prayer ceremony at St. Matthews Cathedral.  The cathedral that seats 1,000 was closed to the public, and the prayer was delivered in his native tongue, Spanish.

Pope Francis is expected to meet with survivors of sexual abuse during his stay in the United States, but that information will not be released until after it’s happened.
