Following rallies and demonstrations across the United States after the election of Donald Trump, a peaceful demonstration was organized in the Boston Common Friday afternoon.
Love Trumps Hate, the group that organized the rally, invited participants that cared for “Muslims, women, Latinx, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, people who cannot afford healthcare, and any minorities that have fallen victim to hate speech”, according to its Facebook event page. A sister rally in New York’s Washingtion Square Park and similar events in other cities adopted the hashtag #LoveStillTrumpsHate as their unifying message.
