Listen: Boston to provide free MBTA passes to five neighborhoods

Mayor Kim Janey announced a pilot program to provide free transportation to residents in five Boston neighborhoods. The program hopes to address inequality in Boston transportation and aid the city’s economic recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Megan Forsythe, Kaitlyn Riggio and Anoushka Shah examine the program and the ways different neighborhoods in Boston rely on transportation.
