Hostage Threat at Boston University a Hoax

The Boston University Police Department received a call this morning from a man who said he had guns, explosives, and a hostage at the on the fourth floor of the George Sherman Union and Mugar Memorial Library.

Boston University Police, Boston Police, and the SWAT Team swept the building to find that the call had been a hoax.

“You can’t take these hoaxes without checking them out thoroughly,” Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said.
