Boston University News Service

Over 30,000 participants from over 100 countries raced through historic streets in the 129th Boston Marathon on April 21. Massive crowds and spectators cheered them on as they crossed the finish line during the historic 26.2-mile route from Hopkinton to Boston’s Boylston Street.

BU News Service photographer Ziyu Julian Zhu was on the scene to capture the heartwarming moments.
