Audio story: meditating on float tanks reduce stress

BOSTON — Sensory Deprivation Tanks, otherwise known as Float Tanks, are growing in popularity nationwide. With stress levels on the rise, I wondered if there was science to back up the claims that relaxation, creative boosts, and pain management can all be achieved by a float session. I spoke with Dr. Clemens Bauer, a neuroscientist at MIT who studies mindfulness and its effect on behavior and the brain. But first I had some floating (and napping) to do.
