LISTEN: A Sitdown with Eversource

Between the war in Ukraine and increased frequencies of severe weather linked to climate change, some residents may have anxieties about the reliability of our energy sources. Earlier this fall, several media outlets released stories about ISO-New England’s reports detailing potential rolling blackouts in the event of severe weather. ISO-New England, a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring reliable energy to the region, has warned of these potential outages for the past couple of years.  

New England energy companies such as Eversource, however, are working diligently to ensure energy distribution for their customers. In an interview conducted over zoom, we sat down with Eversource spokesperson, Chris McKinnon, to learn how the widely-used energy company is trying to stay ahead of the issue and build for a better future.
