Baseball is back. The new season always seems to sneak up and surprise you. Though, maybe that’s because we get opening days like Monday where snow blankets half the stadiums in the MLB.

With so many many unique awards and divisions that legitimately matter, baseball is a sport that lends itself to many predictions. With the first week upon us, we’ve polled some of the real baseball geeks in the Boston University journalism department to find out what players and teams they think will come out on top this year.

Myself, fellow BUNS contributor Marisa Ingemi, and WTBU “Crunch Time” contributors Ryan provencher and Max Wolpoff take cracks at predicting the upcoming season.
