Wondering when you can set foot into a movie theater in the Boston area again? Actually, you can right now, with some restrictions.
As Boston remains in stage 1 of the city’s Phase 3 reopening plan, this interactive map highlights the open and closed status of 16 indoor movie theaters in the area, as well as the restrictions you’ll face when you take a seat in front of a big screen.
Of the 16 theaters featured, one is closed, three are hosting virtual showings and the remaining 12 are all open for in-person viewing.
While each theatre has its policy regarding selling concessions and general safety, all theaters must follow the city’s general guidelines.
Explore the map to find out what’s playing at the movies on Friday, Sept. 25, how many showings of Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” are available to watch per theatre, and more.
