Boston University Police released their Annual Security and Fire Safety Report last month, describing BU as having a “comprehensive safety and security program.”

Following the recent BU Police alerts regarding a stabbing at the College of Fine Arts on Sept. 22 and a suspicious package at 1 Silber Way Sept. 26, many students are worried and concerned about walking on the Charles River Campus.

BU Spokesperson Colin Riley wrote in a statement that students should “stay alert and aware of [their] surroundings at all times, whether on or off campus.”

“Members of the BU community play an important role in keeping the campus safe and should call police immediately to report suspected criminal behavior,” Riley wrote in the statement. BUTV’s Isabelle Durso has more on what students think about their safety on campus.
