BOSTON — A patient diagnosed with measles on Sunday has been to numerous locations statewide where other people may have caught the disease. The person traveled to locations in Hyannis, Wellesley, Braintree, Framingham, Plymouth, and Waltham between Tuesday and Thursday of last week. Jenifer Elise Jaeger, the Director of the Infectious Disease Bureau at the Boston Public Health Commission, says that Boston’s high vaccination rate makes it unlikely for most people to be infected with the disease. If you were in the infected areas, she recommends that you know your vaccination history and get your child vaccinated for measles if they haven’t already.
