On Nov. 13, the City of Worcester woke up to the news of another fallen firefighter. This time it was Lt. Jason Menard, 39, of McKeon Road fire station. Before succumbing to the severe circumstances in a fire at 7 Stockholm St, Menard aided two other firefighters to safety. In a sign of respect to his bravery, firefighters from different parts of the country marched at his funeral procession on Monday. As is customary in these situations, the casket carrying his body was held on top of the Engine 4 truck — one of the trucks from a previous station he served at.
