Over 9,000 runners from 91 countries and 46 U.S. states, plus Washington, D.C., participated in the Boston Athletic Association’s Half Marathon on Sunday Oct. 13, 2019 at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. The event has taken place annually since 2001, and has been sponsored by the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund since 2003. To date, more than $8 million have been raised to support cancer research. The B.A.A. Half Marathon is the culminating event of the B.A.A. Distance Medley, which begins with a 5K race in April followed by a 10K race in June.
