After many of last year’s Lunar New Year parades were canceled due to the pandemic, activities resumed across Boston over the weekend, as residents showed up to take in the festivities.

Meanwhile, in Allston, the Lantern Festival, marking the end of the Lunar New Year, is supposed to be a day people welcome good luck with dragon and lion dances. However, the dragon dance is more than just a festive celebration for some business owners.

Audrey Shi reports on a “dragon disruption.”
