Misinformation, disinformation and fake news: Since the 2016 election, these terms have continued to gain attention at the national level. The spread of false information during the 2020 election season has contributed to polarization and posed problems for news media and news consumers alike. For WTBU and BU News Service, Sean Golonka explores these issues.
