The Boston University men’s lacrosse team will hit the road today for the third time this season as the Terriers head to Pennsylvania to face the Bucknell Bison.

BU defeated Colgate last week to begin conference play at 2-0, and with a 6-1 overall record, sit atop the Patriot League standings. It was one of the more complete games of the season according to head coach Ryan Polley.

Last season, the Terriers started the season 6-2, only to lose six straight games. With a 6-1 start in 2016, BU is looking to avoid an eerily similar finish.

With the roster completely healthy, Cal Dearth and Ryan Hillburn are back in the rotation on offense. With such a young roster, the Terriers still want to get a full lineup in there, and players like Hayden Ruiz, Pat Myers, and Adam Schaal will still continue to see plenty of time.

Once again this season it’s been Jack Wilson leading the way for the Terriers on the scoresheet, but not far behind are freshmen James Burr and Brendan Homire. Burr has led the way with 14 goals, tied with Wilson for the team lead. Homire leads the team with 10 assists and he has six goals added to his point total.

Sophomore attack Will Sands has paved the path for the Bison (4-3) with 28 points this season and 18 goals, both leading the team. Junior midfielder Tommy O’Connor has also added 22 points, along with senior attack Sean Doyle.

Freshman goaltender Christian Klipstein has seen most of the time in net for the Bison, and he will contest Christian Carson-Banister, who has played every second of the season between the pipes for BU.

Game time is set for 1 p.m. from Bucknell.
