Who said you had to be a kid to have fun with Legos?
Every third Wednesday of the month, adults get to embrace their creative inner-child at the Legoland Discovery Center in Somerville. For a few hours, all those 18+ can venture into Legoland and get to enjoy the attractions that most people can’t experience without having a child with them.

First time visitors Carla Recinos and Sara Pereia were excited for the night’s events because of this month’s Halloween theme. Recinos and Pereia were hesitant, but hopeful for a night of fun activities.
“I’ve never done it before,” said Recinos, dressed up as a vampire. “But we definitely wanted to come out to enjoy some Halloween and Legos tonight.”
After paying $22.95 for your ticket, guests would walk upstairs and get immediately surrounded by Boston-themed Lego creations. Different iconic images were captured in block form – from seeing full crowds at Fenway and Gillette Stadium to even the unforgettable bar from Cheers.
The Lego creations weren’t the only thing for guests to appreciate. Admission to the event included joining the interactive quest to protect the dragon’s eggs and taking flight as Merlin’s Apprentice. If you wanted a more relaxed bit of fun, there were 4D Lego short movies to enjoy.
There were different raffles throughout the night that people earned tickets for by enjoying the different rides and attractions at Legoland. There was a fundraiser raffle that benefitted Merlin’s Magic Wand, a group that “delivers magical experiences to seriously ill, disabled and disadvantaged children across the world.” For donations as small as one dollar, guests entered for a chance to win a Jurassic World inspired Lego prize.

The next Legoland Discovery Center Adult Night will be November 16th. Tickets can be purchased online or the day of the event.
