It has been over two months since Nancy Guthrie, mother of NBC’s morning news program the “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, went missing. Guthrie, who is 84 years old, was last seen on the night of Jan. 31 in Tucson, Arizona, after being taken home by her son-in-law and has not been seen since.

Since then, an alleged kidnapper set two deadlines asking for a large ransom in bitcoin, one on Feb. 5, and another on Feb. 9. According to NBC News, two notes sent to KOLD news in Tucson, Arizona did not confirm proof of life, but the first note said Nancy Guthrie was fine.

Since then both deadlines passed without the amount being paid, and the search for Guthrie is still underway.

On Feb. 10, FBI Director Kash Patel released a video on the social media platform X showing a potential suspect on Guthrie’s Nest doorbell camera. In the video, what appears to be a masked male figure approaches the doorway and tampers with the camera, which has since been described by the FBI as a suspect.

On Feb. 12, a pair of black gloves was found about 1.5 miles from Guthrie’s home. DNA analysis showed a match to a restaurant employee in the area, but a Pima County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson confirmed the individual is not part of the investigation.

Savannah Guthrie and her family members have been cleared as suspects from the investigation. Guthrie’s daughter has continuously spoken out publicly about her mother’s disappearance, garnering immense support throughout the U.S.

On April 7, Savannah Guthrie made her return to the “Today” show after her two-month absence in light of her mother’s disappearance.

As of now, the total reward for Nancy Guthrie’s missing person case is approximately $200,000. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI to report tips, suspicious activity, or federal crimes.
