ESPN Fires Curt Schilling

ESPN fired former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling on Wednesday night for “unacceptable” conduct.

According to The New York Times, Schilling was fired after sharing the following Facebook post earlier this week:

The post was in regards to the controversial North Carolina “bathroom bill” that prevents “transgender people from using bathrooms and locker rooms that do not correspond with their birth genders,” according to the New York Times.

Schilling worked for ESPN for six years. He played for the Boston Red Sox from 2004 through 2007.
