LISTEN: Potential Opioid Prevention Center in Somerville

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health estimated a total of 551 opioid-related overdose deaths in the first three months of this year. But the opioid crisis has not received much attention in this year’s election.

WTBU reporter Cici Yu found that government officials in the city of Somerville are hoping to establish a controversial supervised consumption site, the first in the state.
