This pet wearable could solve the problem of lost and wayward pets. Not only does it have real-time GPS tracking, it also allows owners to establish safe zones for their pets to roam and view a 24-hour history of the pet’s whereabouts.
The device connects to a free app – where from miles away, owners can check locations of their furry friends. While Tractive promotes use of the device on cats and dogs, it can be worn by any animal that wears a collar. It weighs only 1.2 ounces, so even small animals can wear it.
Tractive comes in three styles: white, pink with Swarovski crystals and hunter’s camouflage. It’s also waterproof and currently available in 80 countries, including the U.S.
Tractive reports that 10 million pets go missing annually worldwide, and fewer than 5 percent of cats and 20 percent of dogs are ever reunited with their owners. With the GPS and safe-zone features, Tractive aims to lower this statistic. When an animal leaves its established safe zone, owners are immediately notified.
