AER O’NAUT presents: For the Love of Ireland
Aeronaut is throwing a TWO-DAY CELEBRATION OF IRISH CULTURE fundraiser for local immigrants with one of our favorite organizations in the Boston area – the Irish International Immigrant Center. It wouldn’t be a real Irish party without loads of craic! Here are a few of the things they’ll be bringing in:
Live Irish music, live Irish dancers, Irish theatre, the 3rd Annual Boston Irish Poem Day, and the release of their very first Irish stout: “1916” – created in honor of the brave patriots who sparked the Irish Easter Rising over 100 years ago.

Reykjavik Calling
Taste of Iceland’s famous Reykjavik Calling concert returns to The Middle East in Cambridge on Saturday! This year’s lineup features Icelandic bands artists Fufanu, who just dropped a new album, Sports, and Mammut, winner of Best Album of the Year and Best Song of the Year at the 2014 Icelandic Music Awards, along with Boston band The Dirty Dottys, winner of Best Pop Act at the New England Music Awards. Admission is free and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to get there early!

Nowruz 2017: The Persian New Year Festival
Head to the Museum of Fine Arts this Saturday for a celebration of Nowruz, the Persian New Year, and welcome the first signs of spring! Learn about Nowruz traditions and explore Persian works of art. Enjoy artist demonstrations, music, dance, art and more throughout the day.
Here’s just a few things to expect: a Haft Seen display, the beauty of the diverse cultures of Iran through Persian classical and modern dance, the Museum’s collection of ancient Iranian and Persian art and Shooka Afshar and her ensemble performing as they bring the spirit of Iranian folk tunes to life.

South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade
For Boston, St. Patrick’s Day is observed annually with a parade that takes place in South Boston, the city’s predominant Irish-American neighborhood. The parade has been a tradition in South Boston for more than 110 years, with the first procession taking place in 1902. It includes various marching bands, police and army contingents, costume spectacles, novelty vehicles, and a general “green” atmosphere due to participants and onlookers wearing green hats and accessories to reflect the association of the color with Irish culture.
The 2017 parade begins at Broadway MBTA stop and ends at Andrew Square, South Boston.

When: Sunday 1 – 5 p.m.
